Mr. Teplitz started with Quaker Capital Management in June of 1995 as an
equity analyst. He has over 14 years of experience in the investment
industry, having worked for Goldman Sachs for two years as an Associate in
Global Finance before joining Quaker. He has also served as an officer of a family-owned
retail furniture business. Matt is a graduate of
Harvard Law School, and attended one year of medical school at the University of
Pittsburgh. In addition to his general industry knowledge, Mr. Teplitz
specializes in healthcare, retail, and technology research. He previously
served as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit committee
of First Avenue Networks, Inc., a publicly traded wireless backhaul company. Matt lives in Squirrel Hill with his wife, Sue, and
their son. He is an avid wine collector and enjoys tennis.
